Age-related breast changes: what you need to know about them and how to deal with them "class =" js-openGraph "data-meta-name =" og: title

We understand why and how the female breast ages, and what needs to be done to prolong its youth.

Age imposes a visible imprint not only on the skin of the face and hands, but also on the structure of the chest. As you get older, she is undergoing a tremendous amount transformations – starting with how you feel it from the inside, and ending with its external characteristics. However, if you keep abreast of these processes and do not neglect timely prevention, the struggle for a beautiful chest will bear fruit. Plastic surgeon Yuri Korostelyuk helped us to understand the most important nuances of her age-related changes.

At this age, your breast size can change more easily than ever before. Changes in weight, hormonal levels and general physical activity can affect this. In 20+ girls often experience changes in the menstrual cycle due to an increase or decrease in estrogen levels. Because of this, swollen lumps may appear in the chest area, some changes in the structure of the tissues, but this is also absolutely normal.

If pregnancy occurs at this time, she also makes her own adjustments: the breasts noticeably increase due to weight gain and preparation of the female body for lactation, the nipples become larger, and the area around them darkens. After lactation changes, the breasts may become smaller or larger. To a certain extent, it depends on your genetics and the general state of the organism, however, in any case, the interval from 20 to 30 is the flowering of the beauty of the female breast, and the problems with it most often are only of an aesthetic nature.

Often, by this time, a woman has time to survive childbirth (and sometimes not alone). And it was during this period that the main age-related changes in the female breast began to appear. Her sagging (the so-called ptosis) and stretch marks, which are often associated with strong changes in weight before and after pregnancy, are the main problems that women of category 30+ most often face.

No less common problems at this age are sagging or atrophy of the mammary glands. “Their age-related changes are associated not only with the general natural aging of the body, but also with such factors as weight loss, pregnancy and lactation, menopause, and other hormonal changes,” comments Yuri. – Not the last role is played by bad habits (smoking, excessive alcohol consumption), constant wearing of a bra, and even jogging without properly selected sports underwear. In addition, gravity has not been canceled, and the owners of a large bust overwhelmingly face this problem. ”

So it's time for significant changes in the structure of the breast. For the most part, they are associated with menopause – a period of complete irreversible cessation of menstruation. At the same time, the ovaries begin to produce less estrogen, and the female breast experiences a so-called involution, when the cells of adipose tissue begin to actively replace breast tissue. As a result, the breast becomes less elastic and taut.

This is joined by such a nuisance as a decrease in the number of collagen fibers in the breast tissues, which are responsible for maintaining their elasticity and normal density. In order to keep these age-related changes under control, it is necessary to regularly undergo special examinations, including mammography. However, for those who want to prepare for age-related changes in advance and experience them without undue stress, there are simple, but effective prevention rules that can be started to follow now (read also: “Perfect breast without operations: tips, rules and warnings”) .

Specialist recommendations:

The beauty of the breast directly depends on the individual structure of the mammary glands, lifestyle, hormonal levels, weight fluctuations, and on the impact of external factors – a long constant stay in the sun, lack of proper care and a balanced diet. Eliminating harmful factors and developing the right habits, you slow down the involutionary processes of the mammary glands and thereby prolong the youth and beauty of your breasts.

Simple daily rituals will help preserve the elasticity of the breast: contrasting douche, charging, moisturizing with the use of specialized cosmetics, light massage, which can be performed independently at home. which contribute to the growth and protection of muscles, enhance skin elasticity. Watch your posture, carefully choose underwear, do not forget to regularly visit the breast specialist. Thus, you will also prolong youth and preserve the health of your breast. A radical method of correcting the shape and volume of the mammary glands is plastic surgery. Modern aesthetic surgery offers many ways to restore lost forms, while the age of the patient is not an absolute contraindication to the operation (see also: “Making edits: plastic surgery that can be done at 20, 30 and 40 years”).

Note: interesting facts about the chest

Female breast (or more precisely breast cells) is on average 2-3 years older than the entire body. In 2-6 percent of women and 1-2 percent of men, there is a third or fourth additional nipple. Mammoplasty (breast plastic) is the most popular plastic surgery in Breast lipofilling is an enlargement and correction of the mammary glands with our own fatty tissue without using silicone implants. Scientists in the near future promise us to create a technology for growing fatty tissue cells, which will allow plastic surgeons to carry out lipids ofiling breast even the thinnest and slimiest patients.
