Audi is forced to significantly reduce the forecast for the production volume of the electric crossover e-tron at its plant in Belgium. This decision is due to a shortage of battery packs. It is reported by the online magazine The Brussels Times, citing its own source. The main reason was the delay in the supply of batteries by LG. In addition, due to the dominant position in the market, the company once again raised the prices of its batteries. This forced the company to adjust production plans for this year and reduce the volume by more than 10 thousand cars to 45,242 copies.
The electric e-tron crossover is manufactured at Audi Brussels. Now the company is working 6 hours a day instead of eight. According to the company representative, the delay in deliveries can be from 2 to 6-7 months.
