The head of Citroen noted that the new flagship car will turn out to be special and “slightly different”, unlike competitors. According to preliminary data, the production of the sedan will begin in 2021.
The novelty will be built on the EMP platform from PSA Group, which is already used by the Opel Grandland X and Peugeot 508. This architecture supports the installation of electric motors and hybrid systems on cars.

The big sedan is expected to borrow some stylistic solutions from the Cxperience concept car. The prototype is equipped with a hybrid power plant, which consists of a gasoline unit with a capacity of about 200 horsepower, a 110-horsepower electric motor, a set of batteries and an 8-step “automatic”.
