In the study, experts assessed the effect of Mozart's musical works on levels of inflammatory pain, such as muscle injury or joint stiffness, and surgical pain associated with invasive interventions. Introducing various doses of painkillers to rodents, the scientists included classical music to animals. According to the data obtained, the most significant effect was observed when using Ibuprofen. So, in combination with music, Ibuprofen reduced pain reactions in the model of inflammatory pain by up to 93% compared with using the drug alone, when the pain was reduced only by 70%. Also, listening to classical music has reduced the severity of pain by 77% in the model of surgical pain.
According to doctors, painkillers, of course, work fine without music, but they are very toxic and can cause adverse side effects. The main skill is to combine the right drug with the power of musical influence, so that people do not need to take a lot of medicine to get an anesthetic effect, experts say.
