Duda and Trump signed a declaration on the expansion of the US military contingent in Poland

Polish President Andrzej Duda and US President Donald Trump signed a declaration on defense cooperation regarding the presence of US forces in Poland in Washington. Reports about it RMF24.

According to the declaration, the United States plans to increase its current military presence in Poland by more than 1 thousand soldiers in the near future.

The declaration emphasizes that Poland and the United States reaffirm their commitments to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), including those arising from Articles 3 and 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty, as the basis for mutual defense relations.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that the final issue of increasing the US military presence in Poland has not been resolved, but he himself is considering the possibility of transferring an additional 2,000 troops from Germany.
