Erdogan said that Turkey will not leave Syria until "peace comes"

Turkish President Recep Erdogan said that the operation Source of Peace in Syria will last until the region "comes to peace."

He noted that Turkey expects friendly countries to actively support Ankara’s policies, Anadolu reports.

According to him, the "anti-terrorist operation" in the Syrian regions east of the Euphrates River is successfully continuing.

“All Syrian areas from Munich to the border with Iraq will soon become part of the security zone. At the first stage, a million Syrian refugees will be voluntarily returned to their homeland, and then two million more, ”Erdogan said.

Recall that on October 8, Turkey launched a military operation Source of Peace in northeastern Syria.

US President Donald Trump has threatened to destroy the Turkish economy due to a military operation in Syria.

Ahmed Abul Gheit, Secretary General of the League of Arab States, called Turkey’s military operation in northeastern Syria "an invasion of the territory of the Arab state and aggression against its sovereignty."

Turkish President Recep Erdogan assured that Ankara is not going to stop the military operation in northern Syria, despite the threats.
