February 14 boosts fertility Study

British experts say: Valentine’s Day leads to a surge in fertility after nine months. This week it is expected that conception rates will be 5% higher than usual. For example, in 2015, during the week that fell on February 14th, more than 16,000 children were conceived. Moreover, the average was 15,427 children.

Thus, February is the only month capable of approaching the number of conceptions to the Christmas holidays. By the way, Dr. Tina Yoshi from the University of Plymouth urges to be especially careful February 14th.

The fact is that on Valentine’s Day, the probability increases not only of conception, but also of infection with venereal infections.

And, taking into account that infections become resistant, only one unprotected sexual intercourse can result in a severe disease. The expert stresses: without working antibiotics, infections like chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis will become incurable. In addition, often sexually transmitted diseases are asymptomatic and treatment begins too late.
