Ford will add in its line of "affordable" model and an electric crossover

The Ford lineup will soon be replenished with an “affordable” model that will occupy a niche previously owned by the Fiesta, Focus, Fusion and Taurus cars. The prototype of the car will be presented in the next 12 months. In addition, the list of promising models of the American brand is "charged" electric crossover.

The “charged” version of the Ford Mustang Mach-E electric crossover, which is known under the internal designation CX430, will be built on the C2 platform from the Focus model. In appearance, the new design will be heated by the Mustang, and its power reserve on one charge will be up to 600 kilometers along the WLTP cycle.

The company's management has announced that by 2023 it plans to produce nine new cars. Among them are 7 pickups and SUVs. “Affordable” model will not appear on the market before 2022.
