Founder of Wikileaks Assange will appear in court in London

The founder of Wikileaks Julian Assange on Thursday will appear before the court in the UK. Reported by Reuters.”Assange will be sentenced tomorrow at 10:30 in the Crown Court for violating the conditions of his release on bail and obtaining political asylum,” the report said.

Also on Thursday at 10:00 a hearing will be held at the Westminster Peace Court at the request of the United States on extradition.

Recall, Julian Assange after seven years of shelter in the Ecuadorian embassy in the UK was detained by British police. He was taken into custody at the central London police station. The next meeting is scheduled for May 2.

Julian Assange has lived in the Ecuadorian embassy since 2012. He could not marry his territory, as he was threatened with immediate arrest from the outside – for refusing to appear in court in 2012. In addition, the release of Assange wanted Washington, where a case was opened against him about the disclosure of secret data of the State Department.

In March, Assange was deprived of all means of communication because of a violation of the written commitment of 2017 not to distribute messages that would involve interference with other states. He issued a statement of Russia’s innocence in the “Skripal case”. Later, Ecuador began negotiations with the British government on the extradition of Assange.
