Germany called the condition when the Minsk agreements will be considered implemented

The German government says that the Minsk agreements will be considered implemented only after the restoration of the sovereignty of Ukraine in the occupied territories of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions. This was reported in the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs in response to a request from Radio Liberty.

The ministry also noted that they welcomed the approval by the tripartite contact group of the "Steinmeier formula."

“According to the German government, the Minsk agreements remain a roadmap for a political solution to the situation in eastern Ukraine. Agreeing on the Steinmeier formula was an important step for the Tripartite Contact Group. Now it’s time to implement other points of the Minsk agreements. In our opinion, the Minsk agreements will not be considered fulfilled until the full territorial sovereignty and integrity of Ukraine is restored in the Lugansk and Donetsk regions, "the ministry said.
