The streaming service HBO Max is negotiating with the screenwriters of the Friends series and the main actors about the filming of a special episode. It is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

According to sources, the deal is still far from complete, and if everything goes well, then all six main actors will participate in it – Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Leblanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimer, as well as screenwriters David Crane and Martha Kaufman.

HBO Max and WBTV producers declined to comment.

At this moment, the Friends series is being broadcast on Netflix, but he will soon leave this service and under the contract will switch to HBO Max, which they plan to launch in 2020.

Sources of the publication also said that WarnerMedia paid $ 85 million a year for five years to return the streaming rights to Friends for its own platform.
