He said this before his visit to Moscow along with Defense Minister Florence Parley, Radio Liberty reports.
“We are not going to Moscow to lift the sanctions,” said Le Drian.
According to him, this requires progress in stabilizing the situation in Ukraine.
“Then the sanctions can be gradually reviewed, but we are not at this stage yet,” the French Foreign Minister added.

Florence Parley, in turn, announced "a large number of geostrategic challenges for which France and Russia have common interests."
“Of course, we do not agree on certain issues, but this makes us strengthen the dialogue. We want to build an honest and demanding dialogue on all issues, demonstrating openness and at the same time putting forward our conditions, ”said Parley.
