The Hungarian Foreign Ministry called on Zelensky to restore friendly relations between Hungary and Ukraine

The Hungarian Foreign Ministry commented on the signing by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko of the law "On the functioning of the Ukrainian language as a state language", calling it "relevant to the spirit of Petro Poroshenko," Radio Liberty reports.

The Hungarian Foreign Ministry noted that they are hoping for the newly elected President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, with whom the “problematic issues” concerning the Hungarian national minority in Ukraine can be resolved.

"We are interested in restoring balanced and friendly relations between Hungary and Ukraine, and we hope that the newly elected president will be open to this," the statement said.
