The second package of US sanctions began to act against Russia because of the poisoning of the Skripals

On August 26, the second package of US sanctions against the Russian Federation for the poisoning in Britain of agent Sergey Skripal and his daughter Julia came into force.

The sanctions concern the licensing of exports of goods and technologies that are controlled by the US Department of Commerce as part of the fight against the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons.

In addition, restrictions also apply to the participation of American banks in the primary sale of non-ruble sovereign debt and the provision of non-ruble loans to the Russian government.

The US administration called on international financial organizations to refuse to provide and extend any loans for Russia, as well as financial and technical assistance.
