For dry and brittle hair, for growth and for dandruff – we talk all about the best hair oils and, of course, about where to look for them.
Natural oils moisturize hair and add shine, relieve itching and peeling of the scalp, normalize (and even activate) growth head of hair. Choose your own oil and begin restoration work.
It is one of the most expensive oils, and is rightly called “liquid gold”: those who use it know that every drop is worth the money spent (see also: “Guide to cosmetic oils”). Argan oil (also called Moroccan) contains a lot of vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants that can do amazing things with dry, coarse and naughty hair. Take note that argan oil is an excellent hair protection against harmful UV radiation. It is also not fat at all (compared to other oils, of course), and you can use it quite often.
Surprisingly, the same Extra Virgin olive oil, which is usually found in the kitchen, can be used to deeply moisturize your hair. Massaging the scalp with olive oil will stabilize and ─ ideally ─ work to improve the health of the scalp, and combing the strands with it ─ make them more lively, soft and smooth (here the secret is that oil fills the damaged areas of the hair, skillfully “ patching them up). Olive oil can be used 1-2 times a week: apply a couple tablespoons to the hair and scalp, evenly distribute and wrap in a towel for half an hour, then rinse thoroughly (even without using an air conditioner).
It has a very powerful restorative effect. Many people love him because of the smell a la "just returned from the Caribbean," but of course this is not the main thing in it. Coconut oil has a high concentration of vitamin E, which dry hair rods will absorb with pleasure to the last drop, after which the length will become vibrant and shiny, and the roots will be healthy and strong. Coconut oil also contains lauric and capric acids with antimicrobial properties. You will regularly rub it into the scalp (followed by washing, of course) ─ get rid of minor infections and irritations, which, among other things, cause an annoying itch when you constantly want to scratch behind the ear. If you buy a natural rather than a cosmetic product, make sure that it is unrefined organic coconut oil.
Damaged hair is very susceptible to environmental negativity ─ dust, soot and toxins that settle on them daily. To solve the problem, we use rosemary oil ─ it has excellent cleansing properties, and in addition contains good doses of vitamin B, iron and calcium. Rosemary oil is ideal for strengthening thin and brittle split ends and prevents their thinning. Before use, rosemary oil is best diluted with a base oil ─ for example, olive ─ in a 1: 2 ratio.
Jojoba oil, strictly speaking, is not oil ─ it is the liquid wax of the seeds of the same named shrub that grows in the southwestern part of the USA, which is extracted by cold pressing. Jojoba oil contains a large amount of vitamins A, E and D and is perfect for all types of hair. It is so convenient and standardized that it is often included in shampoos, conditioners and masks (and this is not bad!), But, of course, jojoba oil is more effective. Use it to nourish and moisturize hair, strengthen its roots, stimulate growth. It is best to make a mask of oil: apply it all over the hair and scalp, leaving it for 30 minutes (and even at night), but you can simply add a couple of drops to your favorite shampoo just before washing.
Avocado oil, like the fruit itself, contains proteins, healthy fats, essential amino acids and vitamins (A, D, E and B6), due to which it fills the voids in the hair shaft caused by various mechanical damages and closes the cuticle flakes, preventing hair from tangling and their traumatization. Avocado oil is quite intense and dense, therefore it is recommended for hair of medium density and length ─ thin and / or short it will make it heavier.
Castor oil is an ideal remedy to stimulate the growth of new hair (see also: “Products from which hair will grow faster”). It is rich in vitamin E, minerals and proteins. The oil also contains antioxidants that maintain a normal level of keratin in the hair shaft, make it strong and smooth. Plus, it takes control of the process of hair loss and, thanks to its antifungal properties, perfectly protects against dandruff. Buying castor oil yourself is better than cold pressing (similar to olive) and using the popular scheme ─ make a 30-minute or hour mask.
