Trump announced a "very meaningful trade agreement" between the United States and Britain

Washington and London will be able to conclude a meaningful bilateral trade agreement after the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the EU. This was stated by US President Donald Trump during a roundtable with the participation of large companies from both countries.

"I think we will conclude a very, very informative trade agreement, which will also be very fair, which, I think, both countries want," he said during a speech broadcast by Sky News.

Trump said that he could not name specific dates, but added that there is "a great opportunity to strengthen this partnership."

The meeting is attended by leaders of five British and five American companies: BAE Systems, GSK, National Grid, Reckitt Benckiser, Barclays, Lockheed Martin, JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs International, Bechtel, Splunk.

Recall, Trump is in the UK on a three-day state visit. According to the President of the United States, he supports Brexit, if the exit from the EU will be carried out in such a way as not to disrupt the economic and financial stability in the world.
