“I think we will conclude a fantastic and great trade agreement with the UK. We are moving fast, "Trump said.
The head of the White House said he spoke with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Wednesday. “He and I are very closely connected,” Trump said.
He noted that Britain is the closest ally of the United States. "I do not want to talk about the closest ally, because it will make others envy. But, of course, this (Great Britain – ed.) Is one of the closest (allies – eds.)," The US president added.

It was reported that Washington and London are discussing an agreement that could enter into force on November 1, the day after Britain leaves the European Union.
